Dawn Hooker, a third grade teacher at Powdersville Elementary (Powdersville, SC), explains how she incorporated the guide into her history lessons:
The Francis Marion CD-ROM was an important part of our instruction on the Revolutionary War. We used this resource to break down the information about Francis Marion and the Revolutionary War. For example, we used slides 1-6 to explain Marion's background and
what part he had in the war. Slides 7-15 we used to explain the different
soldiers and the beginning of the war. We used slides 16-27 to describe
the strategies of the war and reviewed the part Francis Marion
played. Last, we used slides 28-32 to talk about the end of the
war and Francis Marion's accomplishments.
